Pros and Cons of Legal Templates

PROS

Available 24/7. You can access, finalise, review and sign any of our templates at any time. This translates into timesaving. We provide services 365 days a year and you can finalise and electronically sign your documents whenever you want to. You create the document and you decide the timetable. No need to wait for your legal advisor’s replies.

Accessibility. Most importantly, our templates are suitable to businesses of all sizes. Micro-business, SMEs, sole traders, individuals – anyone who may have previously been unable to afford high-quality legal documents. We hope that this will level the playing field and provide new opportunities for everyone.

Cost. This one is pretty obvious. Our individual templates cost either RMB 28 (USD 6) or RMB 58 (USD 12) and each template contain all the drafting guidance needed to finalise the document, AI-powered automation and options to choose from, online review process, electronic signature option (Mainland only) as well as the option to save your finalised documents to your own workspace. We are pretty sure that you will not be able to get a finalised, reviewed and signed legal document from your legal advisor with that price.

Managing risk. Our templates provide clause-by-clause drafting guidance that also highlights the risks included in a specific clause or the document. We provide options to choose from and explain market practices. All included in the price of the template.

Consistency & professionalism. As the templates have a standardised structure & format, you will have a professional and high-quality legal document. Moreover, our bilingual documents have been translated by a team of international legal professionals, which means that the English parts are also pretty neatly drafted. This, in turn, will translate into reducing the probability of misunderstandings and even disputes.

CONS

Complexity. Some of the templates may seem relatively complex. However, thearkhives | 奥案 aims to create the user interface of every template as accessible and easy as possible. If you read the instructions of each section, we believe that you will be able to use the templates without any issues.

Lack of customisation. The templates have been created to match “most cases”. This inevitably means that some finer details of a particular case or a scenario might not be addressed in the template. However, based on our experience most cases tend to follow similar patterns and therefore, the templates can be created to match the needs of the users. However, if you need a very specific legal document, we suggest the following: (a) contact your legal advisor, or (b) get in touch with us and we can draft you a customised template that you can use in our system in the future as well.
